Nigerians living in the South Eastern region have gone on Twitter to complain that they are being made to jump through hoops in an effort to get their permanent voter’s card (PVC).

It began when one Twitter user revealed that she visited the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office and they were made to wait for an hour for staff to resume. When the staff finally resumed, she claimed they were given brooms to sweep the INEC office and were told that whoever sweeps will get attended to first.

She added that even after allegedly sweeping and waiting, they were asked to go at the end of the day without achieving what they came for. Others shared their stories too, with some claiming they were sent to buy fuel to power the generator in INEC office.
