From the tactical Tweak That Changed The Premier League To A Bitter Ending Filled With Rows Over Virgil Van Dijk, Diego Costa And More

For the first time since being fired by Chelsea in 2018, Antonio Conte returns to the club tonight.
Conte, who has only been in charge of Tottenham for two months, is already targeting silverware and a probable Champions League position for his new club next season.

The Italian will welcome the chance to knock his former club out of the Carabao Cup, and the first leg at Stamford Bridge promises to be a thriller, especially with Spurs in such good form.

There were plenty of ups and downs throughout Conte’s management career, as we have come to expect. Despite winning the Premier League title in his first season in charge, it felt like the union was always on the verge of blowing apart.

Chelsea finished fifth after a dismal championship defense, and despite winning the FA Cup – beating Manchester United at Wembley – it was not enough to secure a stay of execution, and Conte was fired.

After returning to Italy a year later, he led Inter Milan to the Europa League final in his first season before winning Serie A the following year, reestablishing himself as one of Europe’s top coaches.
