Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will miss Sunday’s Premier League match against Chelsea due to a suspected positive Covid-19 test.

Because the 54-year-old is having moderate symptoms and isolating himself, Pep Lijnders, his assistant, will be in charge of the visit to Stamford Bridge.

Klopp announced on Friday that three players had tested positive for Covid-19.

According to a statement released by Liverpool, there have been no new incidents within the playing squad.

Three members of the backroom crew, on the other hand, have returned suspected positive tests.

Liverpool sit in third place in the Premier League table, one point behind Chelsea and 12 points behind champions Manchester City, who have two games in hand.
