Mauro Icardi saved a point for Paris St-Germain against Lorient, who were down to ten men. Icardi scored in injury time for the Ligue 1 leaders, heading in a dinked cross from the byline by Achraf Hakimi, only minutes after Sergio Ramos was sent out for two cautions.
Lorient, who are currently 19th in the table, took the lead five minutes before halftime when Thomas Monconduit’s strike deflected in off the crossbar.
PSG’s Angel di Maria had an opportunity to win it late on, but Paul Nardi denied him.
Di Maria had previously squandered a fantastic chance early in the second half by firing over from eight yards. Argentina striker Lionel Messi also had a shot stopped by Nardi, with the Argentina forward looping another attempt just wide.
Ramos was sent off for the 27th time in his career in only his second game for PSG after signing on a free transfer in the summer after his Real Madrid contract expired.
Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG have only lost five of their 19 league games this season, and they are 13 points ahead of Nice in second place.
