On Tuesday, Mbappe shared photos of a massive cake and festivities with his Paris Saint-Germain teammates.
‘I wish you a happy birthday,’ Pele tweeted.
‘I wish you continued success as your light shines brighter and brighter.’
Pele has routinely sent messages of encouragement to the PSG player, particularly following France’s withdrawal from Euro 2020, and the two have been good friends since they met at an event in Paris in 2019.
After a dramatic 3-3 draw, the Paris Saint-Germain forward missed the game-winning penalty kick, allowing Switzerland to advance to the quarter-finals.
