The New England Patriots’ Seven-Game Winning Streak Snapped By The Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts stopped the New England Patriots’ seven-game winning streak with a 67-yard touchdown by Jonathan Taylor.

The Patriots went three quarters without scoring, then rallied in the fourth with two touchdowns and a field goal to pull within three points. The Patriots’ hopes were dashed as Taylor’s touchdown put the Colts up 27-17.

The Colts improve to 8-6 on the season, while the Patriots drop to 9-5 and lose their position as the AFC’s top seed. The Kansas City Chiefs are in first place with a 10-4 record, but the Tennessee Titans will overtake them later on Sunday if they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Colts have three games left in the regular season and will face the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas Day, who are 10-3 heading into their week 15 game against the Detroit Lions.

Chants of “MVP” [most valuable player] rang out at the Lucas Oil Stadium but the 22-year-old brushed off the praise and said he’s focused on helping his team get to the play-offs.

“It’s just a blessing that people feel as though my name should be in that conversation,” Taylor told NFL Network.
