Real Left Frustrated After Battling Cadiz

Real Madrid were halted at the Bernabeu by relegation-threatened Cadiz, denying them an eighth consecutive La Liga victory.

Real is now six points clear at the top of the standings, having played one game more than Sevilla in second place.

Throughout the game, the hosts dominated, with 36 shots on goal to the visitors’ four.

Despite several promising starts, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad ended up having a frustrating night.

On his 100th league appearance for Real, Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior deceived, and Eden Hazard was virtually a peripheral figure in his first La Liga start since mid-September.

Karim Benzema was another player to fall short, while Alvaro Negredo squandered a late chance to give the visitors a much-needed win that would have moved them out of the relegation zone.
