Both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw, according to Rio Ferdinand, will have a difficult time forcing their way into Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United plans.
Rangnick took command of his debut game at Old Trafford on Sunday, when United defeated Crystal Palace 1-0.
With Wan-Bissaka on the bench and Shaw still out with a head injury suffered against Watford, the German went with Alex Telles and Diogo Dalot at full-back.
Rangnick has been open about the type of football he wants to promote at United, and Ferdinand believes neither of them are especially good with the ball at their feet, which is a major quality he looks for in his defenders.
