Cristiano Ronaldo paid tribute to Michael Carrick on Instagram and discussed Ralf Rangnick’s arrival at Manchester United.
Following the resignation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Carrick took over as interim manager of United and led the Red Devils to victories over Villarreal and Arsenal, as well as a draw against Chelsea.
Ronaldo praised Carrick as a “wonderful coach,” but thought it was time for Ralf Rangnick to take over ahead of United’s match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
‘With this person, nothing is impossible.’ Personally, I’m honored to have had him as a teammate as well as a manager on our bench.
‘But now it’s time to hand the steering wheel over to Mister Ralf Rangnick…’ Let’s get this party started!’
After watching his new team beat Arsenal from the directors’ box on Thursday night, Rangnick was named the club’s new interim manager until the end of the season.
