To replace Sale-bound George Ford, Leicester has lined up South Africa’s World Cup-winning fly-half Handre Pollard for the 2022-23 season.
According to BBC Radio Leicester, When Ford departs for Manchester, Pollard, a 27-year-old with 60 caps, will join him.
At the Premiership leaders’ weekly press conference, Tigers boss Steve Borthwick denied to acknowledge the deal.
“We’re always looking to improve the squad. That’s nothing new,” Borthwick told BBC Radio Leicester.
“If there are good players who can add to our team we’ll look to bring them in.
“There are things going on in the background and we have systems in place to look at that.”
