After being impressed with Christian Benteke’s start to the season, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira will not hesitate to expect even more from the striker.
Benteke went scoreless against Aston Villa at the weekend, but he has four goals in his last six Premier League appearances, including a brace in Burnley’s 3-3 draw at Turf Moor.
Vieira believes the 30-year-old Belgian international is benefiting from his increased involvement in the game, and he hopes this trend continues against Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday.
“I’m really pleased with his form at the moment,” Vieira said. “He’s playing really well and working really hard for the team.“Most importantly he’s scoring goals and he’s playing with a lot of confidence. I think the way that we play, the amount of possession we have allowed him to touch the ball more and create more chances.
