Mikel Arteta Refuses To Back Down After Angry Touchline Spat With Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp
Mikel Arteta says his enraged spat with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is part of his character, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to apologize for any of his actions.
During the first half of Arsenal’s 4-0 loss at Anfield, Arteta reacted violently to a challenge by Sadio Mane on Takehiro Tomiyasu, squaring up to Klopp’s opposite man, who protested about his reaction to the aerial tackle.

Both Arteta and Klopp had to be restrained by their assistance after referee Michael Oliver warned them for their heated exchange.
The altercation occurred while the game was still goalless, and Arteta’s team went on to allow four goals in Arsenal’s first league loss since August, but the Gunners boss confessed that the spat with Klopp is simply “who I am.”
