Chelsea were given a scare on Tuesday night as Ben Chilwell and N’Golo Kante both suffered knee injuries, rendering them doubtful to face Manchester United this weekend.
Chelsea put on a stunning performance to thrash Juventus 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.
However, the evening was marred by injuries to two crucial players, forcing manager Thomas Tuchel to wait and see whether they would be well enough to face a resurgent Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
‘He got stronger and stronger in the first half and then twisted his knee a little bit so hopefully it’s not too bad,’ Tuchel said, hoping Kante’s withdrawal prevented any further damage.
With 20 minutes to go came the other worrying sight for home fans in what was supposed to be a night of celebration in going top of their Champions League group.
