0-2 Villarreal Jadon Sancho Scored His First Goal For Man United
Jadon Sancho has had a difficult start to his Manchester United career, but the England winger finally found reason to smile on Tuesday.
After joining United for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the former Manchester City player has had to wait more than three months for his first goal.
He had little influence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and had scored no goals and given no assists this season when the Norwegian was fired. In the Premier League, he had only one shot on target.
After being told by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate that he had been fortunate to make the cut for matches in September, he was dismissed from the England squad for the recent World Cup qualifiers against Albania and San Marino.
But his goal drought came to an end when he finished off a flowing play featuring Fred, Marcus Rashford, and Bruno Fernandes to score United’s second goal in a 2-0 win over Villarreal, securing a place in the Champions League last-16.
