Gary Neville Leads The Tributes To Ole Gunnar After His ManU Sacking
Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal, Gary Neville has commended the Norwegian for’restoring some spirit’ at Manchester United.
Following United’s humiliating 4-1 defeat by Watford on Sunday morning, the former striker was dismissed of his duties at Old Trafford after three years in charge.
Following their defeat at Vicarage Road – their fifth Premier League defeat since the end of September – the club called an emergency board meeting and decided to remove the 48-year-old, with Michael Carrick taking temporary leadership.
Following humiliating defeats against Leicester and Liverpool earlier this season, Neville had declined to advocate for Solskjaer’s dismissal, criticizing the team’s performance but never directly criticizing his old team-mate.
