Ole Gunnar Held Crisis Talks With Senior ManU Players Including C’Ronaldo And Harry Maguire Ahead Of Watford Clash

On Thursday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer conducted a crisis meeting with his senior players in an attempt to preserve Manchester United’s season – and his career.

In a 10 a.m. meeting at Carrington, Solskjaer spoke with captain Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, and Nemanja Matic.

The 48-year-old wants to talk about how United can turn things around this season, as well as the tactical strategy after going to a back three in the last three games.

After six defeats in 12 games, including humiliations at the hands of Liverpool and Manchester City, Solskjaer is keen to get his team back on track at Watford on Saturday.

The Old Trafford hierarchy has rejected calls to fire Solskjaer, who spent the international break in Norway. He is, however, on thin ice as United enters a crucial stretch that will determine the club’s European fate, which includes league games against Chelsea and Arsenal.

A loss at Vicarage Road on Saturday, or a Champions League group tie at Villarreal on Tuesday, would add to the pressure on the under-fire manager.
