Conor Gallagher has complimented Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira’s role in transforming him into a full England international.
The 21-year-old came off the bench in the record-breaking 10-0 hammering of San Marino on Monday night to become the latest player to win a Three Lions cap.
Gallagher hopes to be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad in Qatar after the victory confirmed England’s place at the 2022 World Cup.
But for the time being, he’s content to learn from Vieira, while he is on a season-long loan at Selhurst Park from Chelsea.
“Working under Patrick is amazing,” he said.
“He was one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. To learn from him and work under him is brilliant.
“He helps me a lot tactically and most importantly is how he knows my strengths and tells me what to do in terms of that.
