According to sources in France, Arsenal is interested in signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches in January.
The contract of the Portugal international expires next summer, and the Ligue 1 club is reportedly considering selling him during the winter transfer window if a suitable offer comes in.
According to French newspaper Le 10 Sport, the Gunners have informed Sanches’ representatives of their interest, while Lille’s leadership is also aware.
Granit Xhaka has been ruled out until the New Year with a knee injury, while Partey and Elneny will miss the African Cup of Nations. The Gunners boss could look to bolster his ranks in January.
Arsenal is thought to be’very interested’ in Sanches as they attempt to bolster their midfield in the January transfer window, but have yet to make an offer.
