Norwich have conducted interviews with Frank Lampard and Dean Smith for the vacant manager’s position as they near a decision on Daniel Farke’s successor.
Since Farke’s sacking last weekend, Lampard has been one of the club’s favorite candidates, but Smith, who was sacked by Aston Villa over the weekend, has also emerged as a strong possibility.
Frank Lampard is one of two candidates in the running to be Norwich City’s next manager
Indeed, Norwich has been in contact with Smith about the vacancy over the last few days, and he is said to have impressed him.
When Norwich parted ways with Farke on Saturday evening, Smith was not initially accessible, indicating that Lampard was the club’s preferred candidate at the commencement of the process.
Dean Smith is the other candidate with both having had held separate talks with Norwich
But the opportunity to speak with Smith after his dismissal at Villa Park was too wonderful to pass up.
