After plans for a revamped 2022-23 calendar were disclosed, Premier League teams would return to action barely a week after the 2022 World Cup final.
The Premier League has disclosed how they will manage the month-long winter World Cup in Qatar in 12 months, which would cause turmoil in the heart of European football seasons.
The action will begin a week earlier than usual on August 6 and end on the weekend of November 12-13.
The Premier League will then return on Boxing Day, leaving some managers with little time to prepare their squad if they go all the way in Qatar.
As a result of the World Cup dominating the middle of the season, the 2022-23 season will end a week later than usual, on May 28, with all matches starting at the same time, as is customary on the final day.
