Arsenal’s attempts to sign highly-rated Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic have apparently encountered a snag due to the player’s agents refusing to meet with them.
The Gunners had moved ahead of north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the 21-year-old, who had been put off by the £68 million price tag.
Talks with the Italian side are said to be going well ahead of a possible January switch.
The Gunners want to speak with Vlahovic to explain their concept, according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, speaking via Sky Sport Italia as reported by violanews, but his agents are refusing to return phone calls, making discussions difficult.
Because Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are both in their thirties, manager Mikel Arteta believes Vlahovic would be a wonderful addition to his squad.
Vlahovic, who has rejected down a contract extension that runs through 2023, is set to leave Fiorentina.
