Posted by Liverpool have taken action against two fans for ‘aggressive behavior’ after no proof of a fan spat at Manchester City’s backroom personnel during last month’s 2-2 Premier League tie at Anfield.
City were incensed after a member of Pep Guardiola’s backroom staff claimed to have been spat at during the second half and filed a complaint after the game.
Officials from the Premier League champions claimed to have video footage of the event, which they later gave over to authorities.
Liverpool confirmed on Tuesday that they had completed a ‘full and thorough inquiry’ into the event.
