Rio Ferdinand: It’s High Time Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Left Man United, Old Trafford

Rio Ferdinand believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should ‘hand over the baton’ and leave Manchester United at this moment.

The Norwegian is under a lot of fire after a dismal run of form in which they’ve lost four of their past six games, including a 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool and a 2-0 loss to Manchester City, both at Old Trafford.

Since taking over as permanent manager in March 2019, Solskjaer has failed to win a single trophy for the club, and his side is currently nine points behind league leaders Chelsea after just 11 games.

With speculation rife as to whether United will part ways with Solskjaer, Ferdinand has confessed that now may be the right time for him to leave.

‘We started this season with such hope, but also the transfer window that we had, the enthusiasm, we were all sitting there going ‘this is our moment now,” he stated on his Five with Vibe podcast.

‘Ole was brought in to get us to that point. He was brought in to get the squad in-tact, get the players in to make us challenge for the league.
