Norwich City overcame Brentford at the 11th hour for their first Premier League win of the season, but it was not enough to keep manager Daniel Farke from being ousted hours later.
After a fantastic run, Mathias Normann tapped in from the outskirts of the box to give the Canaries a perfect start.
Norwich had taken the lead in a league game for the first time this season, and only a fantastic save from Tim Krul to deny Christian Norgaard from point-blank range prevented Brentford from swiftly catching up.
It was a critical save since Teemu Pukki was taken down inside the box by Charlie Goode midway through the first half, doubling Norwich’s lead. Finland’s striker took the penalty kick and converted it.
