Cristiano Ronaldo Would Not Wear Blue In Manchester Derby – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Cristiano Ronaldo’s “immense” effect at Manchester United has been lauded by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who insists that the Portuguese wearing a blue City shirt on derby day is simply unthinkable.

In the final days of the transfer season in August, Ronaldo appeared to be drawing closer to a deal to Manchester City before completing an emotional homecoming to the club he had left 12 years earlier for Real Madrid.

Despite the fact that Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, is only three months away from turning 37, United’s signing of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has appeared to be a wise move.

“The good thing is that it would never happen,” Solskjaer said when asked had he contemplated Ronaldo playing for City in a Manchester derby.

“There was no chance of that happening. I’m happy he is wearing the red and hopefully he can be the difference again.

“He’s one of the best players that’s ever walked on this planet.
