Prior to visiting Norwich on Saturday, Thomas Frank acknowledges his players’ work ethic for their relative success in the Premier League this season.
Despite finishing 10 points ahead of Brentford in the Championship last season, Norwich have yet to win in the Premier League this season and are rooted to the bottom of the table with just two points from their first ten games.
Brentford had to qualify through the play-offs, but they have impressed in the Premier League this season, sitting in 12th position with three wins, including an opening-day triumph over Arsenal, and Frank argues that high-intensity training is to blame for their success.
“So far, I am very pleased with the performances. The big thing that we’re looking at just came from the training ground – I think we had a fantastic training session, very good intensity, very good focus and good quality and they train very hard. Very hard,” the Bees boss said.
