After Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner went off in the first half of Chelsea’s 4-0 triumph over Malmö in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Thomas Tuchel has a selection issue in attack.
After being forced out against the Swedish champions at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s manager predicted the pair will be out for several matches. Lukaku, who had gone seven games without scoring, suffered an ankle injury when winning an early penalty, while Werner was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury.
Both forwards are expected to miss Saturday’s match against Norwich City, while Christian Pulisic is dealing with a persistent ankle ailment.
