C’Ronaldo Caps ManU Stunning Comeback Win Over Atlanta

Manchester United came back from two goals down to beat Atalanta in the Champions League at Old Trafford. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the game-winning goal nine minutes from time.

Because of their lack of innovation in going behind to Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team was booed out at halftime.

But the jeers turned to applause as United rallied to complete one of their great European victories, shouted on by an increasingly energised crowd.

Eight minutes after the break, Marcus Rashford reduced the deficit with a brilliant finish, then captain Harry Maguire blasted home after being left free at the far post to get on the end of Edinson Cavani’s flick.

But, as he had done three weeks before against Villarreal, it was Ronaldo who came out on top.

It was one of his trademark headers this time, as he soared to meet Luke Shaw’s cross and found the bottom corner to take United to the top of Group F.
