Van Dijk Unconcerned By Scrutiny As He Strives To Rediscover For After Lengthy Injury

Virgil Van Dijk, a Liverpool defender, is aware that he will continue to be scrutinized as he attempts to return to his best form following a lengthy layoff due to a knee injury.

It’s been over a year since he was injured in a Merseyside derby challenge.

Van Dijk had surgery last season that kept him out for the rest of the season, but he has started all eight Premier League games this season.

“They were already before but will be now even more, but it’s something I’m not thinking about.
“I feel like I am improving. I have work to do but I don’t think about what others have to say or judge. “The only thing I can do is try my best each and every game.”

Despite having started every game in the Premier League so far, Van Dijk was rested for Liverpool’s first Champions League match of the season, a 3-2 win over AC Milan on September 15, but he did play in the 5-1 triumph over Porto on September 28.
