According to sources in Spain, Robert Lewandowski favors a transfer to Real Madrid and will wish to leave Bayern Munich in order to force a move.

Since joining Bayern on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in July 2014, the veteran is largely recognized as one of the top strikers on the planet, having scored 307 goals in just 339 games in all competitions.

And, according to AS, Lewandowski has chosen that the Bernabeu is his favourite destination out of all the teams in the globe.

The Polish international has a contract with the Bavarian club until 2023, after which clubs from outside Germany will be able to discuss conditions for a free transfer starting in January of that year.

As a result, Lewandowski may push for a move next summer in order for Bayern to maximize their profit when he is sold.

Despite a long and good association with Julian Nagelsmann’s team, and Bayern’s great wish to keep him, he is apparently prepared to publicly request a transfer away for the opportunity of a reunion with Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti.
