Sadio Mane joined the exclusive ‘100 Club’ after scoring his 100th Premier League goal against Watford on Saturday – but how did he do it?
Mane scored Liverpool’s opening goal in just nine minutes at Vicarage Road, converting Mo Salah’s stunning outside-of-the-boot ball with a first-time finish.
Last month, the 29-year-old had already scored 100 goals in all competitions for Liverpool, just one week after fellow Reds winger Mohamed Salah joined the Premier League’s elite ‘100 Club.’
Since the division’s inception in 1992, Mane is the 31st player to accomplish the milestone.
In 2014, shortly after arriving for £3.6 million from RB Salzburg, the Senegalese international scored his first goal for Southampton in a 1-0 win over Stoke.
Mane has scored two-thirds of his goals at Anfield, with his preferred right foot, and the majority of them coming from inside the opposition box – but he has yet to score a penalty or a direct free-kick.
