Antonio Rudiger, a Chelsea defender, is said to be examining his options before deciding on his long-term future.
The 28-year-old has been linked with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, and his current contract expires in less than nine months, meaning he may leave Stamford Bridge for free next summer.
Negotiations between the two parties were held earlier this season, according to Sky Sports News, but Rudiger’s representatives have put the talks on hold while the player considers his options.
According to the article, Rudiger is still dedicated to the Blues and a contract extension with Thomas Tuchel’s team is still a possibility.
The Germany international has previously indicated that signing a new deal is the most significant choice of his career, and that he is not in a hurry to do so.
Since joining Chelsea from Roma in 2017, Rudiger has made 159 appearances in all competitions, winning the FA Cup, the Europa League, and the Champions League last season.
