The violent crowd unrest that interrupted England’s match against Hungary on Tuesday night is being investigated by FIFA.

Hungarian fans clashed with police and security workers at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night after a steward was accused of making a racist remark.

‘FIFA is presently evaluating reports of (Tuesday) night’s FIFA World Cup qualifier matches in order to identify the most suitable action,’ according to a FIFA statement.

‘FIFA strongly condemns the incidents at the England-Hungary and Albania-Poland matches, and would want to reiterate that it rejects any forms of violence, as well as any type of prejudice or abuse.’

‘FIFA has a clear zero-tolerance policy when it comes to such heinous behavior in football.’
