Completesports.com claims that Maduka Okoye has been recalled for the Super Eagles’ 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification matchday four match against Central African Republic. After arriving late to camp, Okoye was benched for the first game against the same opponent on Thursday.

As they try to get their qualification campaign back on track, Gernot Rohr, the team’s head coach, has chosen a 3-5-2 configuration. Moses Simon and Jamilu Collins will play as the two centre-backs, with Chidozie Awaziem, Leon Balogun, and William Troost-Ekong in central defense. Frank Onyeka, Joe Aribo, and Kelechi Iheanacho, all of Brentford, will play in midfield. Victor Osimhen will be paired with Ahmed Musa, the team’s captain.
