Mission 44, which was created earlier this year by the seven-time Formula One world champion, has joined with Teach First to focus on research, mentoring, and marketing efforts to help recruit 150 black STEM teachers to work in underserved communities around the country.

The Hamilton Commission found that a shortage of black STEM teachers is a barrier to pupils engaging with these disciplines, which led to the introduction of the project on UNESCO’s World Teachers Day and during Black History Month.
