After Sunday’s Serie A match, Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen responded to racial abuse from Fiorentina fans.

On his verified Twitter account, Osimhen issued a statement imploring people to educate others and make them understand how ugly racism is.

After the Partenopei won a 2-1 Serie A match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, the insults were heard during post-match interviews.

Kalidou Koulibaly, a defender for Napoli, heard racial chants directed at him, Osimhen, and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa from the stands.

Fiorentina director general Joe Barone personally apologized to Koulibaly and his teammates after the incident.

In response to the harassment, Osimhen wrote:”Speak to your kids, your parents, make them understand how disgusting it is to hate an individual because of the color of their skin.”

Napoli won their seventh league game in a row thanks to Osimhen’s fantastic performance.

After being fouled inside the box and the referee pointing to the penalty spot, the Nigerian helped his team get back into the game.
