If Real Madrid ever got their way and made Europe’s best club championship a closed shop affair, we’d miss these games terribly.

The fearless Sheriff Tiraspol showed up at the 13-time European Cup winners’ house and beat them 2-1.

The debutants from Moldova’s breakaway territory of Transnistria are an unknown phenomenon in this year’s Champions League, as they demonstrated when they took the lead in the first half and then scored a last-minute victory with a screamer from Sebastien Thill.
