Revealed: “Argentina select Three Premier League Players For World Cup Qualifiers”

Posted by

Despite Argentina’s status on the UK’s travel blacklist, three Premier League players have been selected for the country’s World Cup qualifiers in October.

Most English teams refused to release players called up by South American countries for World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.

Argentine nationals who have been vaccinated and tested negative for Covid do not need to be quarantined after arriving in the country from outside as of Friday.

Anyone landing in the UK from Argentina, however, must undergo a 10-day quarantine period.

Argentina’s 30-man team for their games against Paraguay, Uruguay, and Peru from October 8 to 15 includes Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, as well as Tottenham’s Giovani lo Celso and Cristian Romero.

On the weekend of October 16-17, both Villa and Tottenham play Premier League matches.
