Premier League clubs are considering twinning with teams from Pakistan’s new franchise competition to gain a better understanding of the market.
The Pakistan Football League (PFL) will begin play in the spring of 2019 with teams from Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Multan.
According to Sportsmail, each of those six sides will forge a deal with an English club, and they may even use the same colors and nicknames as their Premier League counterparts.
The six Premier League clubs engaged have yet to be announced, but extensive talks are reportedly underway with at least one of the ‘Big Six,’ as well as teams from Asian-dominated areas.
