Brazil will name a roster for their next three World Cup qualifiers today, as FIFA tries to reach an agreement with governments to avoid a recurrence of last month’s disaster.
At its shareholders’ meeting on Thursday, Premier League teams reviewed the issue and agreed to let the players travel to South America, where all countries are still on the red list, as long as they are exempt from the 10-day quarantine upon their return.
Talks with FIFA and the government are ongoing in the hopes of building safe football “bubbles” for all players serving in red-list countries and returning to the UK.
Tite, who was without nine players who were not released by their six English clubs last month, plans to name a strong group that includes numerous Premier League players.
Roberto Firmino of Liverpool and Richarlison of Everton are both injured, while new Tottenham right-back Emerson Royal is in contention for a return.
