Anthony Joshua is desperate to face Tyson Fury and realize his dream of being the undisputed heavyweight champion, according to Eddie Hearn. After being ordered by an arbitrator to fight Deontay Wilder, Fury, 33, was forced to postpone his fight with Joshua, leaving fans devastated to see the undisputed bout fall through.
Following that, Joshua will defend his WBA (Super), IBF, and WBO titles against Oleksandr Usyk, and AJ’s promoter says he would be surprised if a bout with Tyson Fury did not take place.
“I believe that Tyson Fury would fight Anthony Joshua. We know it’s the biggest financial fight in boxing. I know for a fact AJ would fight Tyson Fury. I would be shocked if both won their upcoming fights and we didn’t see that fight.”
After Fury agreed to fight Wilder again, Joshua chose to face his WBO mandatory Usyk, and Hearn revealed the 31-year-old would never relinquish one of his championships.
“The dream has always been to be undisputed,” the Matchroom boss said of Joshua.
