Napoli kept their perfect start to the Serie A season going with a 4-0 win over Udinese on Monday, extending their winning streak to four games.
In the 24th minute, Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock by receiving the finishing touch on the line after Lorenzo Insigne had lofted an effort towards goal, and 11 minutes later, Amir Rrahmani scored a second with a well-worked free kick.
As Napoli threatened to run riot, defender Kalidou Koulibaly scored the third with another beautiful finish seven minutes into the second half.
But the visitors had to settle for one more goal, with replacement Hirving Lozano curling a stunning fourth into the net late on to put the cherry on top. Napoli climbed above Inter Milan into first place as the only team with a perfect record, while Udinese dropped to eighth place with seven points after their first loss of the season.
‘For the time being, being top of the table doesn’t matter,’ Napoli captain Insigne told DAZN. ‘We know we gave it our all on a difficult pitch, and that is the most important thing.’
