Brighton’s excellent start to the Premier League season continued as they held off a late Leicester rally to climb to third position.
The Foxes had two late chances to salvage a point, but both Ademola Lookman and Wilfred Ndidi’s goals were disallowed due to Harvey Barnes’ offside.
Brighton dominated the first hour, but it took a controversial penalty to get them going, with Neal Maupay converting from the spot after Jannik Vestergaard’s handball.
Vestergaard claimed a foul by Maupay caused him to handle Shane Duffy’s header, but referee Stuart Attwell awarded a spot-kick after considerable deliberation.
