Southampton held Manchester City to a goalless draw, but it might have been a lot worse for the champions.
Kyle Walker avoided embarrassment as VAR reversed a penalty in the Saints’ favor and a red card verdict.
The defender was sent off in the second half after tripping Southampton’s Adam Armstrong in the area, giving Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side a fantastic chance to grab the lead.
However, the England international stayed on the pitch, arguing with Jon Moss over the judgment, until the referee reviewed the incident on the pitchside monitor and reversed it.
