Bayern Munich moved to the top of the German Bundesliga table with a 7-0 victory over VfL Bochum. After Leroy Sane’s spectacular free-kick to start the rout, Joshua Kimmich scored twice.
Serge Gnabry, Robert Lewandowski, and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting also scored, while Vasilis Lampropoulos scored from the penalty spot.
Bayern was wearing their fourth different shirt this season, a dark green Oktoberfest uniform.
At the Allianz Arena, victory was all but ensured at halftime when Bochum centre-back Lampropoulos scored an own goal to give the hosts a 4-0 advantage.
Bayern’s goal tally now stands at 20 after their first five games of the season, however Wolfsburg may reclaim first place if they beat Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
