Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo bemoaned his team’s “poor” injury luck after losing more players in their Europa League tie with Rennes.
Spurs midfielder Lucas Moura and winger Steven Bergwijn both left the game with injuries as Spurs came back from a goal down against the Ligue 1 side.
“It’s been terrible, I must be honest. Let’s not hide behind anything,” said Nuno.
The 47-year-old added: “After the Watford game, everything that has happened has not been very good for us.
“But this is football. And we know it’s a moment we have to overcome.”
Nuno’s team took the lead when Moura’s low cross was diverted into his own net by Rennes defender Loic Bade in a game where the momentum switched throughout.
After falling behind, the hosts pushed for an equaliser and were rewarded when Flavien Tait exchanged a quick one-two with Serhou Guirassy before curling a shot past Pierluigi Gollini from the edge of the box.
