According to rumors, Manchester United approached super agency Jorge Mendes about the availability of Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati while negotiating Cristiano Ronaldo’s return this summer.
Following Ronaldo’s choice to leave Juventus 12 years ago, United were able to secure a stunning deal to bring him back, and the veteran has had an immediate effect, scoring three goals.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the club may have had their sights set on bringing in another forward before the window closed, having inquired about teenage sensation Fati.
The 18-year-contract old’s at the Nou Camp expires in a year, and it’s said that Mendes, who is also his agent, has offered him to a number of big clubs throughout Europe, including Manchester City.
Fati drew a lot of attention and was approached by United, who discussed the possibility of signing him next summer. Barcelona, on the other hand, is sure that their wonderkid will sign a new contract.
