Following his remarkable form over the last couple of seasons, Chelsea are allegedly set to reward midfielder Mason Mount with a new and improved deal.
Mount has made tremendous strides and established himself as a crucial player for both club and country, securing a spot in England’s midfield at Euro 2020 this summer.
The 22-year-old, who has been with Chelsea since he was six years old, signed a five-year contract worth £75,000 a week just over two years ago and has since helped the Blues win the Champions League.
He had never played a Premier League game for the club before signing the new contract, and he has only missed four of the Blues’ 79 games since then.
And according to 90 minutes, he is expected to double his weekly salary to £150,000.
Thomas Tuchel has made it obvious that he is a huge fan of the player he received from former Blues boss Frank Lampard, who loaned Mount to Derby for a season in 2018-19.
