England’s players, fans, and analysts have condemned Hungary fans’ racist chants during their World Cup qualifier, with captain Harry Kane demanding for harsh penalties.
During the game, Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham were subjected to nasty monkey chants, and Sterling was also pelted with plastic cups after scoring the game’s first goal.
Although the players appeared to be covered from the abuse, the yelling could be heard from the fans. After the game, Kane and several of his teammates, as well as fans and analysts, strongly condemned the abuse.
England’s players were also booed before the game for kneeling. The squad, according to John Stones, will continue to battle for what they believe in.
