Desperate Manchester United supporters have begun a frenetic hunt for tickets to Cristiano Ronaldo’s historic second debut next weekend.
On Saturday, September 11, the Portuguese superstar will return to Old Trafford to face Steve Bruce’s Newcastle in a 3 p.m. kick-off.
Ronaldo’s comeback, on the other hand, has triggered a frenzied increase in ticket demand, with prices on unauthorized re-sale websites currently approaching £700 to see the 36-year-old don the renowned red shirt once more.
According to a story in the Times, ticket prices on re-sale platform Stubhub reached an all-time high of £2,500, but the service provider quickly withdrew them.
